Multiway Robotics Will Bring Unmanned Forklift Solutions for the Food Industry to the IFPE Guangzhou Food Exhibition

The 30th Guangzhou International Food Processing, Packaging Machinery and Auxiliary Equipment Exhibition (IFPE) will be held in Guangzhou Pazhou·Canton Fair Complex from September 24 to 26, 2021.

As a leading provider of smart logistics solutions in the field, Multiway Robotics will bring the counterbalanced unmanned forklift MW-E30 and the counterbalanced unmanned forklift MW-SE08 to demonstrate the operation of intelligent logistics to the audience. At that time, the application scenarios of the food industry will be displayed: logistics handling automation technologies such as cargo stacking, pallet gesture recognition, and location detection.

Next, let us take a look at the best highlights of this exhibition in advance!

1. Counterbalanced unmanned forklift MW-E30: cargo stacking

The counterbalanced unmanned forklift MW-E30 can not only meet the requirements of stacking operations, but also has the advantages of fast running speed, good climbing ability, and high load limit. In the food production workshop, raw material or finished product warehouse, there are many types of materials and heavy weight, and materials need to be frequently and efficiently transported to the production line. The transportation of goods by manual forklifts has major safety hazards and cannot realize the intelligentization and informationization of logistics.

The counterbalanced unmanned forklift MW-E30 can easily meet the requirements of high-load and high-efficiency operations. The forklift has a maximum load of 5000KG, a maximum lifting height of 6600mm, and a maximum travel speed of 3m/s. At present, counterbalanced unmanned forklifts have been widely used in the food industry for cargo stacking, shuttle docking, horizontal handling, and heavy-duty stacking.

2. Counterbalanced unmanned forklift MW-SE08: Pallet attitude recognition

The overall weight of the counterbalanced unmanned forklift MW-SE08 is lighter. This exhibition will bring a demonstration of the "pallet gesture recognition" technology, which has been optimized and upgraded after the CeMAT Asia Logistics Exhibition last year. In the human-computer interaction operation scene of the food industry, the warehouse (side-by-side), the scene of placing, picking and placing goods, it is difficult for manual forklifts to be placed successfully at one time. Normally, manual forklifts will not put and lift the goods, move the position, and need to manually correct it many times.

The "pallet posture recognition" technology is based on vision and deep learning, which can quickly capture the actual position of the goods, and adjust the unmanned forklift operation path to achieve picking and unloading. At present, it supports the maximum deviation of the pallet angle of ±30° and the displacement of ±80cm, which greatly improves the flexibility of the solution.

3. Unmanned forklift solutions for the food industry

There are many information problems in the food industry, such as lagging in information technology, difficult and expensive labor. In terms of production logistics and warehousing processes, we sort out the following aspects:

Pain point 1: The labor cost of the transportation link is high, the repetitive labor intensity is high, and the recruitment is difficult.

Solution: Unmanned forklifts can realize unmanned operations in related upstream and downstream links such as production, warehousing, and logistics, saving labor costs, improving safety and operating efficiency.

Pain point 2: Orders are concentrated, stocks need to be stocked in advance, warehouses are violently stored, and external warehouses are rented, which increases costs and workload.

Solution: unmanned forklift + dense three-dimensional racking + shuttle car or laneway stacker to improve storage capacity.

Pain point three: warehouse dispatch orders, manual allocation of locations, time-consuming, and easy to wait for loading. The loading progress is not controlled in time, the lane utilization rate is low, and the products need to be first-in, first-out.

Solution: Unmanned visual inventory, transfer product batch, quantity, and location information to WMS, so as to realize the transparency of warehousing and outbound information.

Pain point 4: The cargo throughput is large, the pace is fast, multiple loading methods coexist, and the flow of trucks, people and vehicles is complicated.

Solution: The unmanned loading and unloading vehicle solution optimizes the automation process and on-site system management.

Pain point five: The vehicle information and waybill need to be checked before leaving the factory, and it cannot be automatically released, which affects vehicle turnover.

Solution: The unmanned forklift solution automatically checks information and releases automatically.
